Maurice Utrillo ( 1883 – 1955) is perhaps the painter who succeeded best in painting Paris, Montmartre in the most pleasing style “Pleasant to the eye!" He was the son of Suzanne Valadon who herself was an excellent paintress and who "matronised" over Maurice till he was quite old.
